A postdoc position in the general area of nanophotonics and optical trapping is immediately available at the Sensors and Actuators Lab at UMD.
The candidate should possess an earned Ph.D. in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Material Science and Engineering, or other related areas and have strong background in electromagnetics and optics. Desired skills include FDTD/FEM simulation of nanophotonic structures, optical imaging, electron beam lithography, micro/nano fabrication, and waveguide measurement.
Excellent written English and oral communication skills are required.
